How we handle your information

We only collect what we need to review and work on your case. This page explains what we collect, why, who sees it and the choices you have.

Who we are

This Privacy Policy applies to Fraud Counsel (“we”, “us”, “our”) and to this website. We investigate crypto fraud and help victims document, report and pursue the recovery of lost funds.

Information we collect

We collect information in three ways.

You give usName, email, phone, country, and the details of your case: scam type, amount lost, dates, wallet addresses, transaction IDs, platform names, messages and screenshots.
We collect automaticallyDevice and browser type, IP address, pages visited and the time you visited, and cookies. See our Cookie Policy.
From other sourcesPublic blockchain data, public records, and replies from exchanges, platforms or authorities we contact for your case.
Never send us your seed phrase, private keys or passwords

We do not need them and we will never ask for them. If you send them by mistake, tell us straight away and move your funds to a new wallet.

How we use your information

  • To read your submission, assess your case and reply to you.
  • To trace funds, prepare evidence and reports, and carry out the services you ask us to provide.
  • To contact exchanges, platforms, banks or authorities for your case, with your permission or where the law requires.
  • To explain our fees and manage our agreement with you.
  • To keep our website, systems and clients safe, and to prevent fraud and misuse.
  • To meet our legal and regulatory duties, and to handle complaints or legal claims.

Who we share it with

  • Exchanges, platforms and issuers, when we send freeze requests or reports for your case.
  • Law enforcement, courts and regulators, when you ask us to or when the law requires.
  • Service providers who help us run the business, such as website hosting, email and form delivery. They may only use your information for our purposes.
  • Professional advisers such as accountants and insurers, under confidentiality.
We do not sell your personal information

We do not sell it and we do not share it for third-party advertising.

Blockchain data

Blockchains are public. Wallet addresses and transactions that we analyse are visible to anyone, and they cannot be edited or removed by us or by anyone else.

Public by design

When we link a public wallet address to you in a case file, that file is protected like any other case record. We cannot delete data that sits on a public blockchain.

How long we keep it

How we protect it

  • Access to case information is limited to people who need it to do their work.
  • We use reasonable technical and organisational measures and review them from time to time.

No website or system is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security. If we ever learn of a breach that affects you, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

To use a right, email us at Admin@cryptorecoverylabs.com. We may need to confirm who you are first, and we will reply within the time the law requires. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

International transfers

We are based in the United States and our service providers may be in other countries. If we move your information across borders, we use safeguards that the law accepts, such as contracts that require the same level of care.

Children

Our website and services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you think a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will change the “last updated” date at the top of this page, and if a change is important we will tell you in a clear way.
